Union At Carrollton Square

This was my first place out of college after sharing an apartment with 6 guys, and I cannot recommend this place more. The Union is absolutely beautiful and very well-maintained; they are very timely to maintenance requests and have decked-out amenities (2 separate pool areas, massive 5-floor gated parking garage, modern fitness center with proper equipment, lounge area, etc). This apartment is in the heart of Downtown Carrollton and right by the DART station, so the community is vibrant and there is tons to do and eat. I highly recommend checking out Cane Rosso (Italian), Babe's Chicken (fried chicken), and Twisted Root (burgers). Huge shout-out to Jesse and Caleb in the leasing office for always being so friendly and professional. From corresponding at the very beginning to the final move-in day, Jesse and Caleb have been consistently helpful throughout.

I came to tour from out of town. I got in contact with the leasing office and Jesse helped me set up my appointment for me to tour. When I came in for my appointment, Caleb was able to show me around and answered all my questions while explaining everything to me. The apartment I toured you could tell it was well maintained and clean. The amenities were great; overall it was a great experience that I had with everyone I encountered in the office.

Nightmarish Living Experience - Avoid This Apartment at All Costs - Pest Infested & Noise Issue (****See the pics - it's not dusts but hundreds or maybe thousands of carpet beetle bodies found in one area) I don't understand how they managed themselves to get all those good reviews on google but I'm definitely against them. It's been about two month since I moved in and it's been a pest-infested nightmare at Union at Carrollton Square apartments. From the moment I moved in, I felt like I had stepped into a horror movie, with cockroaches & carpet beetles making themselves right at home. The cockroaches were the first indication that something was seriously wrong. As if the cockroaches weren't enough, the carpet beetle infestation added a whole new layer of disgust to my daily life. These resilient little pests were not deterred by any amount of cleaning or pest control efforts. It felt like a losing battle, and I found myself constantly on edge, fearing that one of these unwelcome visitors would scuttle across the floor or, cabinets, and dishes. The apartment management's response to my complaints was lackluster at best. The assistant manager keeps insisting that the unit is not infested even after seeing hundreds of carpet beetles just below the dishwasher. To make matters worse, there's a noise issue from the trains passing by the complex within walking distance. As you can imagine, they horn crazy even at night, you are going to face some problems sleeping if you are a light sleeper as I am. Save yourself the headache, frustration, and sleepless nights by avoiding this in an apartment at all costs. The management's inability to tackle the pest problem has turned what could have been a home into a regrettable living nightmare. There are undoubtedly better options out there that won't leave you feeling like a guest in your own personal horror show. ‐‐--------------------------------------------

The staff here is INCREDIBLE. Great customer service and they will do everything they can to make sure you are heard, taken care of and that your hard earned money is NOT wasted. Definitely would recommend this property over their next door neighbor, Lux on Main, who seem more focused on making quick cash out of applicants, and then denying your app for bogus reasons without any way to move forward. Union will go above and beyond to assist you and make your application process as stress-free as possible. The prices at Union are great, location is great, staff is great. What more can you ask for? I definitely recommend checking this place out (and staying FAR away from their sketchy sister property next door).

Surprised seeing 5 star reviews on this property. I would have to say that this place is way overpriced and overall, a huge scam. There has been a paint job that has taken over 5 months over the course of my lease. Nobody asked for a new paint job and we did not get a say on the decision. Secondly, watch out for the trash valet fee. If you don't bring your can in at exactly 9 am, be ready to be charged 30 extra dollars and a knock at your door. There is no way to opp out of the valet trash service. I'd rather take the damn trash out myself. Lastly, UNSAFE AREA. Be aware that there are homeless people just outside of the complex. I've been threatened by someone in a van once and every time i've gone out to walk, I felt unsafe. I cannot wait to leave this apartment. They should be paying 10% of resident's rent for disturbing us with construction that is lasting half a year now.
